Any of these sites will help you to prepare for your tests. These sites will help you run through the tests to gauge your progress and help you study the information for the exam. 

To become an amateur radio operator, you must pass a test administered by a team of at least three Volunteer Examiners. Oklahoma City offers several opportunities to take these tests each month.

First Thursday of the Month – Norman

The South Canadian Amateur Radio Society offers a test in the North Norman area on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm. More information is available on their website at https://w5nor.org/license.

First Saturday of the Month – Edmond

The Edmond Amateur Radio Society offers a test on the first Saturday of each month at 8:-0 am in the central Edmond area. More information is available on their website at http://k5eok.org/

  • You must pre-register with the online form at the bottom of this page: https://k5eok.org/license-testing/
  • First Saturday – 8:00 am
  • Edmond Fire Training Center (Fire Station #5), 5300 E Covell Rd, Edmond, OK. The exam room is at the East entrance on the South side of the building.

Second Thursday of the Month – SW Oklahoma City

The Aeronautical Center Amateur Radio Association offers a test on the second Thursday of each month at:

  • 6:30 at Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Center – SW Integris Medical Center
    SW 44th and Western – Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
  • You must register to make sure they will be ready for your test.

Third Saturday of the Month – Midwest City

The Mid-Del Amateur Radio Club offers a test session on the third Saturday of each month (except June) from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Midwest City Library, 8143 E Reno Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73110.
